Washington, EU.- El ingreso de aire polar ocasionará heladas en gran parte del centro y este de los Estados Unidos la próxima semana, según el pronóstico de varios meteorólogos.
De acuerdo con Paul Kocin, especialista del Servicio Nacional de Meteorología y experto entormentas invernales, se trata de un patrón clásico de ráfagas masivas de aire ártico golpeando toda la región al este de las Montañas Rocallosas.

“Éste va a ser un enorme golpe frío, y con mucho viento también. Se va a mover todo el camino hasta el sur», señaló el especialista.
Kocin pronosticó una banda pequeña de nieve intensa en el centro del país acompañada con frío, con precipitación en algunas partes del noreste.
Todo esto proviene de aire frío del Ártico. El origen del aire frío estará alrededor de Québec, Canadá.
