Los hechos ocurrieron sobre las 09.15 horas de la mañana (07.15 GMT), cuando el alumno llegó con retraso a su clase, en el Instituto Joan Fuster de la capital catalana, llamó a la puerta y una profesora le abrió, momento en el que sacó la ballesta y le disparó cerca de la cara, provocándole heridas diversas.
Según testigos, el joven también disparó a una alumna de esa clase, hija de la profesora.
Al oír los gritos, un profesor de una clase próxima se acercó al lugar y el alumno le disparó a la altura del pecho, herida que le provocó la muerte.
Después, el agresor entró a otra clase y agredió a otro alumno con el arma blanca que llevaba, según las mismas fuentes.
Ante el temor de que el joven siguiera agrediendo a más personas, los demás profesores confinaron a los alumnos en sus clases.
