La moda solidaria del Ice Bucket Challenge ha encontrado en Charlie Sheen a otro seguidor… Aunque el polémico actor ha roto el patrón para dar una lección. Sheen, conocido por sus líos amorosos y con sustancias prohibidas, decidió arrojarse por encima no un cubo de agua, sino un balde con 10.000 dólares en efectivo que aportará íntegramente a la investigación contra el ELA (Esclerosis Lateral Amiotrófica).
La parte solidaria del reto de lanzarse un cubo de agua helada por encima es que, en el caso de rechazarlo, el nominado se obliga a donar 100 dólares a la investigación contra le enfermedad. De aceptarlo, el donativo es mucho menor.
Sheen ha optado por esta forma para denunciar el buenismo de la iniciativa, y para subrayar que lo que necesita la ELA es una cura que se podrá obtener con fondos para la investigación, no con cubos de agua. “Seamos honestos, el hielo se derretirá pero este dinero realmente ayudará a la gente”, dijo Sheen, que retó a Jon Cryer, Ashton Kutcher y Chuck Lorre, de Dos hombres y medio –la serie de la que fue expulsado por su comportamiento-, a hacer exactamente lo mismo.
