EU.- Agentes de la Patrulla Fronteriza de Estados Unidos detuvieron a 144 migrantes indocumentados en dos acciones realizadas la noche del lunes y la mañana de hoy en las comunidades de Edimburg y Mission, en el sur de Texas.
En colaboración con la oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Hidalgo y otras corporaciones policiales locales, incursionaron la mañana de este lunes al complejo de apartamentos al norte de Mission.
Un vocero de la Patrulla Fronteriza en el valle del Rio Grande informó que los agentes encontraron tan sólo en ese lugar a 68 hombres, mujeres y niños en diferentes habitaciones del complejo de apartamentos.
Todos fueron detenidos bajo la sospecha de estar ilegalmente en Estados Unidos, el vocero señaló que no es la primera vez que indocumentados utilizan el mismo complejo de apartamentos para esconder a migrantes.
La detención de este grupo se dio horas después de que los agentes fronterizos localizaran la noche del lunes a otro grupo de 76 migrantes, escondidos en una vivienda de la comunidad de Edimburg, al norte de MacAllen.
En un comunicado la Oficina de Aduanas y protección Fronteriza dijo que en el lugar fueron encontrados 17 inmigrantes originarios de Guatemala, 18 de México, 22 de honduras, 17 de El Salvador y dos de Ecuador.
