Colombia consiguió una histórica victoria ante Brasil por la mínima, en un partido correspondiente a la segunda jornada del Grupo C de la Copa América. Gracias al gol de Jeison Murillo, los de Pekerman sumaron sus primeros tres puntos en el certamen continental y se meten en la pelea por la clasificación a los cuartos de final.
El partido fue intenso desde el arranque. Brasil controló la posesión de la pelota en los primeros minutos e intentó sorprender a Colombia, pero los de Pekerman se plantaron bien en el terreno de juego y fueron de menos a más, quitándole el protagonismo al equipo de Dunga, adelantando las líneas y presionando bien arriba.
Colombia se hizo dueño del partido y metió a Brasil en su campo. Fue a los 35′ de la primera mitad cuando llegó el primero de los cafeteros, luego de una serie de rebotes que aprovechó Murillo para mandar la pelota al fondo de las redes. De esta manera, el equipo de Pekerman se fue al descanso con la ventaja parcial.
En la segunda mitad, los brasileños intentaron reaccionar y se volcaron encima del cuadro cafetero buscando el empate por todas las vías posibles. Sin embargo, Colombia retrasó un poco sus líneas y supo aguantar los embates de los pentacampeones, atacando solamente cuando era necesario.
Así, Colombia se quedó con los tres puntos y cortó una racha de 24 años sin ganarle a Brasil. Los de Pekerman suman su primera victoria en la Copa América e igualan en puntos a Brasil y Venezuela, que jugará mañana ante Perú para completar la segunda jornada del Grupo C.
