Bagdad.- Militantes del Estado Islámico (EI) capturaron a más de 70 jóvenes en la población de Tal Ali, en la provincia de Kirkuk al norte de Irak.
Los secuestrados son habitantes de una aldea suní en la cual se quemó una bandera del EI, por lo cual la acción sería un acto de venganza y una manera para reclutar nuevos combatientes.
Los militantes cercaron el pueblo que se ubica a 80 kilómetros al suroeste de la ciudad de Kirkuk, para entrar y secuestrar a los jóvenes, quienes fueron amenazados y conducidos a un lugar desconocido.
En la provincia de Kirkuk que se ubica a 250 kilómetros al norte de Bagdad, existen zonas controladas por los extremistas y por las fuerzas kurdas conocidas como «peshmergas».
Los bandos se enfrentan en esta provincia y otras como Saladino y Nínive, donde en los últimos días los «peshmergas» junto a las tropas regulares iraquíes lograron avances sobre los radicales de EI.
El EI está acusado de cometer crímenes contra la humanidad y ha efectuado conquistas rápida en el norte del país desde junio pasado, luego de la proclamación de un califato en los territorios de Irak y Siria bajo su control.
