México.- El presidente del Estado Plurinacional de Bolivia, Evo Morales, consideró que su homólogo de EU, Barack Obama, debe pedir perdón a Venezuela por sus amenazas antes de la próxima Cumbre de las Américas que se realizará en Panamá o, de lo contrario, deberá enfrentar a los «presidentes antiimperialistas».
En una rueda de prensa en la ciudad central de Cochabamba, Morales criticó la declaración de EU de una emergencia nacional por el «riesgo» que supone la situación en Venezuela para su seguridad y aseguró que «es una amenaza no solamente a Venezuela, sino a América Latina» y a la democracia.
«Si Obama no quiere encontrarse con la horma de sus zapatos, antes de la Cumbre de las Américas que pida perdón a América Latina y en especial a Venezuela, sino se va a encontrar con presidentes antiimperialistas, con gobiernos antiimperialistas», sostuvo.
El Gobierno estadounidense declaró este lunes una «emergencia nacional» por la «amenaza inusual y extraordinaria» de la situación en Venezuela para la seguridad de EE.UU. y amplió las sanciones a varios funcionarios venezolanos incluidas en una ley aprobada en diciembre pasado por Washington. Morales opinó que mediante esa decisión, Estados Unidos está «planificando la intervención militar a Venezuela».
