El Cairo, 10 ago (EFE).- Egipto ha obtenido la «aprobación simultánea» de israelíes y palestinos para la entrada en vigor de un nuevo alto el fuego de 72 horas, que será anunciado oficialmente esta noche, reveló a Efe un responsable palestino, que pidió el anonimato.
La fuente explicó que una delegación israelí llegará en las próximas horas a El Cairo para retomar las negociaciones con la delegación palestina, y agregó que la hora de inicio de la nueva tregua se conocerá cuando se difunda el comunicado oficial.
Este anuncio llega minutos después de que el Ministerio egipcio de Exteriores exhortase en un comunicado a Israel y las facciones palestinas a respetar un alto el fuego desde las 00.01 hora local (21.00 GMT) de mañana, lunes.
En la nota, El Cairo también instó a respetar esta medida para reparar la infraestructura destruida en Gaza y para que ambas partes puedan «reanudar las negociaciones indirectas de manera inmediata y continuada».
Asimismo, el alto el fuego tendrá el objetivo, según Exteriores, de permitir trabajar hasta llegar a un acuerdo de alto el fuego permanente y total.
La delegación palestina ha celebrado una reunión para tratar el alto el fuego propuesto por Egipto, aunque el dirigente del movimiento palestino Al Fatah Azam al Ahmed, jefe del equipo negociador, advirtió de que rechazarán cualquier intento israelí de imponer condiciones previas para reanudar las negociaciones.
Durante el anterior alto el fuego, que expiró el viernes, los palestinos redactaron un documento, posteriormente entregado por los mediadores egipcios a Israel, en el que exigían a este país un alto el fuego, la liberación de presos, el desbloqueo de Gaza, y la apertura de un puerto y un aeropuerto en la Franja, entre otras cuestiones.
Estas peticiones fueron rechazadas por Israel, lo que provocó que el movimiento islamista palestino Hamás reanudase los ataques contra Israel y éste retomase la ofensiva Margen Protector (que comenzó el pasado 8 de julio) sobre Gaza. EFE
