Colombia.- La Suprema Corte de Justicia de Colombia pidió hoy al Congreso investigar al expresidente Álvaro Uribe Vélez por el espionaje realizado contra magistrados, opositores, activistas, humanitarios y periodistas durante su gobierno 2002-2010.
El máximo tribunal decidió entregar a la Comisión de Acusaciones del Congreso las investigaciones que tiene de los exfuncionarios del expresidente a la cárcel.
Este jueves se dictó auto de formal prisión de 14 años a la exdirectora de la Policía Secreta, María del Pilar Hurtado, a quien Uribe Vélez ayudó a conseguir asilo en Panamá, durante el gobierno de Ricardo Martinelli.
También al exsecretario general de la Casa de Nariño, en el gobierno de Uribe Vélez, Bernardo Moreno, fue condenado a ocho años, pero con el beneficio de que puede pagar la pena en la figura de casa por cárcel.
El magistrado Fernando Castro, investigador del caso del espionaje, sostuvo que certificó copias para que se investigue la responsabilidad de Uribe Vélez, frente a las increpaciones ilegales por los que fueron condenados sus exfuncionarios.
El máximo tribunal pidió al Congreso que se investigue al senador José Obdulio Gaviria y a los exfuncionarios Jorge Mario Eastma, César Mauricio Velásquez, Edmundo del Castillo y Ándrés Peñate.
Por su parte las víctimas del espionaje diron visto bueno al fallo de la Suprema Crote de Justicia y exigieron que se investigue al expresidente Álvaro Uribe, ya que consideran que él ordenó las operaciones contra sus opositores.
