Luego de 10 años de haber culminado una de las series de culto de la televisión mundial,Sarah Jessica Parker ha firmado con HBO para volver con una nueva serie cómica sobre una mujer de mediana edad que decide divorciarse. Tal y como lo indica su nombre, Divorce mostrará a Parker representando a Frances, una mujer inconforme con su matrimonio y que, impulsada por dos amigas solteras y sin compromiso, buscará pedirle el divorcio a su esposo.
La serie escrita por la británica Sharon Horgan, quien participará junto a Parker como Productoras Ejecutivas, estará basada en la ciudad de Nueva York donde se grabará la misma. En el reparto también se ha confirmado a Thomas Haden Church, como el esposo de Parker y a Molly Shannon y Talia Balsam.
La historia desarrollará un largo proceso de separación planteará las inseguridades que surgen cuando se plantea terminr con una pareja, efectivamente o no. Eso sí, rodo dentro de circunstancias divertidas sin olvidarse de mencionar lo difícil que puede resultar, para una mujer de mediana edad, volver a la soltería.
El culto a Sex and the city, desde ya, ha generado gran expectativa sobre el retorno de Parker a la televisión con una de las cadenas más exitosas de los últimos tiempos. Aún no hay fecha definida para su estreno pero se planea sea este mismo año.
