Durante un evento para celebrar el mes del orgullo LGBTTT, la mexicana Jannicet Gutiérrez interrumpió el discurso del presidente de Estados Unidos, Barack Obama, para protestar contra la deportación masiva de inmigrantes ilegales, que ha alcanzado máximos históricos durante la actual administración.
Obama, visiblemente molesto, le dijo a la mujer “Escucha, estás en mi casa y no es respetuoso… No vas a conseguir una respuesta de mi parte si interrumpes de esta forma”, para luego pedir a sus agentes que la sacaran de la sala.
Una vez que el personal de seguridad se llevó a la protestante, el presidente ironizó “Como regla general, no me molesta la gente que interrumpe, pero sí cuando estoy en mi casa. Porque, ¿saben? Mi actitud es: si ya te comiste un canapé, si ya te tomaste un trago… en fin. ¿En donde me quedé?”
Esta respuesta causó risas y aplausos por parte de la audiencia, desde donde se escuchó un “te amo”, que Obama respondió con un sendo “Y yo te amo también”. Después del incidente, el evento continuó continuó sin sobresaltos.
Gutiérrez es una mujer transgénero que espera obtener su ciudadanía, pero de momento tiene un estatus de ilegal en Estados Unidos. La activista declaró, luego de que la sacaran del evento, que antes del mismo intentó entregar una carta al presidente para concientizarlo sobre la situación de los transgénero que permanecen de manera irregular en su país.
