Ciudad de México.- Stephanie Sigman fue presentada ayer como la «Chica Bond» mexicana, y relató el proceso de inclusión en esta película dirigida por Sam Mendes y protagonizada por Daniel Craig.
«Yo hice un ‘casting’, estaba de vacaciones en México y recibí una llamada del director del ‘casting’ local y me dijo que si quería venir a hacer una prueba, que todo era secreto. Montamos una escena de películas anteriores. Aplacé el proceso de ‘casting’ porque me enfermé, así que lo hice y lo envié; pensé que no iba a pasar nada, luego me llamaron y me hicieron ver a Sam (Mendes) y creo que algo les gustó», dijo la actriz con timidez. Sigman reveló que ya tuvo contacto con Daniel Craig en los estudios Pinewood de Reino Unido, donde realizó pruebas de cámara y maquillaje, y definió al protagonista de la saga de Bond como «muy atento, correcto y muy educado».
La también protagonista de Miss Bala destacó que solamente tuvo un breve acercamiento con el director, con quien solo habló algunos detalles del personaje que interpretará y del cual no se ahondó durante la conferencia.
La actriz y modelo aseguró que su incorporación a la nueva película de James Bond representa los frutos de la semilla que recoge a partir de trabajo y disciplina.
En una entrevista, la protagonista de Miss Bala agregó que significa también «que el universo está a mi favor y que están pasando las cosas que yo quería que pasaran».
Emocionada, Sigman, quien dará vida a «Estrella», en la saga del Agente 007, destacó que con esta participación tendrá la oportunidad de crecer aún más y trabajar al lado de gente talentosa que admira mucho.
