La investigación de Neuman incluyó una encuesta de 400 mujeres casadas, las cuales tuvieron que identificarse como felizmente casadas, o infelizmente casadas.
Las mujeres felizmente casadas reportan un promedio de 11 relaciones sexuales por mes con su esposo. Mientras que el promedio de las mujeres infelizmente casadas era de 3 a 4 veces por mes.
Neuman reveló a Business Insider que después del matrimonio, la mayoría de las parejas comparten más responsabilidades, las cuales empiezan a robarle tiempo al amor. Las obligaciones como las facturas mensuales, los niños, y hasta el sueño son cada vez más preocupantes y eso afecta el deseo sexual.
