Este año “Ask Men” apostó por la innovación, resaltando el valor de las cualidades de las mujeres por encima de la belleza, para ello creó cinco categorías, que incluyen el arte, los deportes, los negocios y la ciencia. La publicación contó expertos en las mencionadas áreas, como Yahoo Celebrity, Huffington Post, Bussiness Insider, Pc Mag y Sports Illustrated, quienes lanzaron propuestas basándose en el criterio de quiénes eran las mujeres que destacaban en esas categorías.
De acuerdo a los organizadores, el objetivo de esta lista es celebrar a las mujeres que están definiendo el mundo el segundo lugar lo ocupa la campeona de la UFC Ronda Rousey, el tercer puesto para Kim Kardashian y cuarto y quinto lugar para Taylor Swift y Lindsey Vonn, respectivamente. Otras de las mujeres incluidas en esta selección fueron Angelina Jolie, y Michelle Obama.
Actualmente, Emma es embajadora de Unicef y vocera de una campaña por la igualdad de género #HeForShe, el año pasado fue elegida como embajadora de buena voluntad de ONU Mujeres, discurso por el cual fue ovacionada.
