Y es que un instituto de investigación en ese país aseguró que una supuesta fábrica de pesticidas de la nación norcoreana visitada recientemente en realidad sirve para producir ántrax y otras armas biológicas.
«El análisis de las imágenes revela que las instalaciones -del Instituto Biotécnico de Pyongyang- pueden producir de forma regular partidas de armas biológicas, específicamente de ántrax», afirmó la página web 38north, especializada en el país comunista.
El sitio web, asociado a la Universidad Johns Hopkins de EU, hace referencia a los reportajes publicados por medios estatales de Corea del Norte el pasado 6 de junio, en los que aparece el joven líder Kim Jong-un en una visita a una supuesta fábrica de pesticidas para uso agrícola.
Los «modernos equipos» que se observan en las imágenes revelan que Corea del Norte no solo puede fabricar armas biológicas sino también adquirir los dispositivos necesarios para llevar a cabo esta actividad y burlar las sanciones que le impone la ONU, según 38north.
