Un video difundido por internet este martes dice mostrar la decapitación del periodista estadounidense Steven Sotloff por el grupo Estado Islámico.
Sotloff, quien trabajaba en forma independiente para las revistas Time y Foreign Policy, había sido visto por última vez en Siria en agosto de 2013, hasta que apareció en un video difundido el mes pasado por el EI en que se mostraba la decapitación de otro periodista estadounidense, James Foley.
Vestido con uniforme naranja de presidiario y contra el fondo de un árido paisaje sirio, Sotloff era amenazado de muerte en ese video si Estados Unidos no desistía de los ataques aéreos al EI en Irak.
En el nuevo video difundido el martes, titulado «Segundo mensaje a Estados Unidos», Sotloff aparece vestido con un uniforme similar antes de ser decapitado por un miliciano del Estado Islámico.
